Susan Enjema Aweh’s final journey to Bokwai
Let’s bid our sister in Germany, our doctor for all causes, our Bokwai queen goodbye
We are grieving our sister, our friend, our mentor, our trailblazer – Enjema Susan Aweh. Susan departed from us after a short but painfully intense brush with cancer, on December 24th, 2018.
As Founder of Dr. SEA Initiative She was on a Mission…
She envisioned a healthy, resilient and empowered community where people possess adequate knowledge/information for effective disease control and prevention while maintaining healthy personal lifestyles.

Arrangements
Due to the lengthy Christmas vacation period, it has been challenging to arrange a concrete funeral. Ongoing arrangements are being made for the final funeral program and will be posted here once available.

Biography
Dr. SEA has been her nick- name used since secondary school, at the age of 10 or so, which reflected her childhood dream of becoming a medical doctor. It is an acronym of her names (Susan Enjema Aweh). That dream came true for her. Learn more…

Wake-Keeping
There will be a wake keeping in Augsburg, her town of residence on the 5th of January. We will confirm the venue and time within the coming days

Burial
Respecting Susan’s wish, her last journey will be to Igarra – Nigeria where she will be buried close to her dear father Chief Aweh.

Fund Raising & Tribute
We have received numerous requests to support our sister’s journey to her final resting place. With the consent of her family this Fund Raising campaign was created. All the contributions will be dedicated towards getting Susan home, so she can be buried next to her dad. We thank you already and immensely for your support.
Gone too soon
Susan was diagnosed with a very rare form of breast cancer in September, which doesn’t respond to conventional treatment. Throughout her illness she never gave up hope and faith in God, believing right till the end that she would make it. She went peacefully in her sleep. Time of death was 1:50 A.M on Christmas Eve.
We remember Susan Enjema Aweh very fondly.
Even in her death, she will continue to Meducate us and our children and grandchildren.
Please keep your prayers up for the family.
